March 2019 College Gembloux BE: online exercises for individualized learning and learning how to work independently.

La fréquence de leur participation est le témoignage de leur intérêt et de l'avancement dans leur processus d'auto régulation.

In order to allow all students to work at their own pace, online exercises are offered twice a week. The teacher is in contact with each student via their PC. The teacher sends a task to all the students in the class with exercises to be carried out following the material seen in class. Students carry out the exercises when they have time available. They know how to correct themselves and repeat the exercises several times. The exercises are transmitted to the teacher who from his home can see the work done, the tests, the errors, the corrections ... It is an innovative approach and in adequacy with the evolution of the methods of learning: the pupil is involved in the process of his work, he learns to manage his time and his planning. The exercises are optional and considered as an additional asset. The errors are not sanctioned but allow to better identify the difficulties in the learning. The exercises can also be different according to each pupil according to his needs.

The frequency of their participation is the testimony of their interest and progress in their process of self-regulation.

Editorial

  • "An inclusive school is a school that welcomes all children: refugee, immigrant and native children, children from wealthy or disadvantaged backgrounds, children with disabilities or gifted, with or without learning disabilities. Whatever the differences between students, physical, intellectual, social, emotional or linguistic, invisible or hidden differences, our school must ensure to all an environment that supports them and promotes the development of their personality.
