n this project, the 1st Gymnasium of Kamaterou will be, as a member of the R.S.E.S. (School Network of Education and Support) which operates within the framework of the Support Center for Specialized Pedagogical Treatment according to Law 4115/2013:

  • Demonstrating his experience of inclusion in classes accommodating pupils with Special Educational Needs (integration classes, parallel classes, inclusion in regular classes)
  • Offering its know-how in assessing the possibilities of progression from children with disabilities and measuring the effects of their education

Thanks to integration classes, teachers of the school are able to:

  • Get assistance in supporting pupils with SEN from a psychologist or social worker who is present once a week.

Carrying out activities aimed at “changing the way people look at disability”:

  • Relying on the Ministry of Education's national campaign for a school for all, an inclusive school
  • Proposing pedagogical methods for the accessibility of all to culture
  • Promoting access to literary culture

Carrying out activities using “differentiated pedagogies” by:

  • Exploiting extracts from The Odyssey, adapting them to suit to a public of SEN pupils
  • Imagining The Odyssey of a disabled pupil in European countries

The Greek team, motivated and united, was mobilized from the start for the success of the project.
