OPENING OF THE "HEADING FOR INCLUSIVE SCHOOL IN EUROPE " CONFERENCE ON 23/11/2016

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear "European" partners,

First of all, I would like to say how pleased we are to welcome you today to discuss a theme that is dear to us at APAJH, namely the inclusion of children with special educational needs.

In our movement, this subject is important, not only due to our professional origins, but above all for the attention that we carry, each of us, to the education of all children in a great idea of " living together "that erases differences and breaks down the barriers of discrimination.

Some people said it better than me, but I think that a society can be measured by its interest in educating its citizens.

Before entering into the heart of the subject of this conference, I would simply like to recall that in 2013, our Federation signed an agreement with the Ministries of Education and Health whose objective was to create a dynamic in favor inclusive education, a non-utopian question that reverses the process of integration and makes space to the idea that society as a whole should be open to all.

For us, the APAJH du Lot, the declination of this convention was made very naturally because since 1991, our service was engaged in this process.

In 2014, an "action-survey" initiated with parents, teachers and accompanying students in school life showed that we had to go further in our research to improve the development of the children with disabilities.

Based on internal skills (management, association), the idea of presenting a European project has been materialized and here we are gathered around this project Erasmus + / education / training to work for three years with the desire all to first, to change the way people look at disability, to encourage exchanges between teams, to link the school and the medico-social and, "icing on the cake", to create a training module accompanied by a collection of 100 pedagogical-worksheets or intellectual productions available on a site known by everyone.

It is an ambitious project which is the first European project to tackle this subject. It will federate 10 partners, it will create a real synergy.

I thank Mr. LECUIVRE and Mr. BOUSQUET for having opened the Jean Calvet  School Group allowing the teachers to progress in this research.

We are also delighted to have with us a training institute for social workers, the IFRASS of TOULOUSE with the students of the IUT of FIGEAC. This training approach begins today in CAHORS, will continue in February 2017 in FARO in Portugal where will be held the international congress of neuroscience, then in POLAND with the point "history and ethics" and in Italy at the end of 2017 where the We will discuss the theme of innovative, differentiated pedagogies.

Thus, over three years, there will be six "Transnational" groups to finish at CAHORS in May 2019 on the assessment of the final balance.

So, let's say : "Heading for Inclusive School in Europe".

Mr. Inspector of Academy, Mr. BOUSQUET, Mr. SOLITO, thank you for your support.
